  • Introduction

    In Macau, a dynamic financial and gaming hub vulnerable to cross-border illicit flows, accountants should prioritize Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) compliance to protect the integrity of the financial system and uphold international standards. As one of the Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions, accountants are frontline gatekeepers obligated to perform customer due diligence, verify beneficial owners, and report suspicious transactions. This course includes the following topics:

    • Introduce AML/CFT basics, including definitions and roles of Financial Action Task Force;
    • Give an overview of accountants’ obligations under Macau's AML/CFT related laws and regulations;
    • Elaborate the requirements of risk-based CDD procedures and BOs verification; and
    • Explain common issues in applying AML/CFT requirements

    • Upon acceptance the enrollment, it is non-transferable. Organizer reserve the rights to cancel the training and amend the terms and conditions.
    • Participants who have completed 1.5 course hours will receive an digital certificate of attendance issued jointly by CPC, ACCA and CPTTM. Participants who log in the online platform 15 minutes after coursecommencement (19:15) or those who log off the online platform before course conclusion (20:30) are perceived as absent and will not be issued a certificate of attendance.
